LEARN MORE ABOUT TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICES
Trauma isn’t just something that happens to us — it’s something that lives in the body long after the event has passed.
It shapes how we think, how we feel, how we respond, and how we connect with ourselves and others. You can’t talk your way out of trauma.
True healing happens when we address the nervous system, work with the body, and create space for the parts of you that have been holding onto survival patterns for far too long.
Somatic Trauma Informed Coaching is not about reliving the past, it’s about gently helping your system feel safe enough to release what it’s been holding.
Through embodied techniques, nervous system regulation, and compassionate coaching, we support your whole system to process safely and move forward, not by pushing through but by working with your body and your protective patterns.
This isn’t about digging into your story or pushing you to go faster than you’re ready for. It’s about listening to what your body is telling us and moving at the pace that feels safe.
Having completed an ICF and CPD Accredited Somatic Trauma Informed Coaching, which is Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, meaning we acknowledge and work with the different parts of you that have developed to protect you along the way.
Procrastination
To name but a few....
IFS recognises we all have different ‘parts’ within us and these parts aren’t bad or broken, they’ve developed to protect us in times of stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm.
IFS helps you understand and work with these parts, rather than pushing them away, so that healing can happen from the inside out.
At the core of IFS is the belief that everyone has a calm, confident, and compassionate Self, and from this place, lasting transformation is not only possible, but deeply empowering.
This work focuses on your nervous system, not just your thoughts so change can actually stick.
It’s IFS informed, using gentle, non-pathologising language that honours your lived experience.
It’s paced with safety and choice at the centre, so you’re never re-traumatised.
It helps you understand your emotions and survival responses, not fear them.
